Speaker Biographies:
Ada Healey, Vice Presiden of Real Estate Development, Vulcan Inc.
Ada M. Healey manages the company's significant real estate development portfolio, which primarily includes property in the Pacific Northwest. She also directs a variety of projects and relationships with real estate brokers, developers and other business partners to maximize the portfolio's value and leverage development projects in various markets. In addition, she manages Vulcan's interests in various neighborhood-planning efforts and partnerships that support Vulcan's mission and values.
Prior to joining Vulcan Inc., Healey worked for Clarion Partners, a member of the ING Group. During her 10 years there, she held various positions in asset management, acquisitions and portfolio management, working on behalf of several of the nation's largest pension funds. Earlier, Healey spent several years at NYNEX Properties Company, now owned by Verizon Communications. At NYNEX she managed the company's financing activity, working on acquisition opportunities and developing corporate real estate strategies.
Healey began her career in the insurance industry, working for the Sedgwick Group, London, now owned by Marsh, and in New York City for Metropolitan Reinsurance Company.
She holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Bill Pollard, Co-founder & Principal, Talon Private Capital

Bill has consistently been recognized as one of the leading brokers in the Pacific Northwest. He earned the prestigious Seattle Broker of the Year award four times, and was a finalist three additional times.The national industry research firm Costar recognized Bill as a "Power Broker" for the past seven years,and he has been the keynote speaker at numerous industry events.
Kevin Rech, Principal, Terrene Ventures
Terrene Ventures was founded in 2008. The team that makes up Terrene Ventures has vast experience in all facets of building construction and project development. The principals of Terrene Ventures have 70 years of combined Development and Construction industry experience.
Kevin Rech has over five years of experience in commercial and residential real estate analysis, acquisitions, management and marketing. After graduating from Stanford University in 2004, Kevin received his real estate education in Seattle working for Joe Torres while underwriting a wide variety of transactions and marketing them to local private equity. He gained a working knowledge of deal structuring and financing for value-add apartments, hotel development and re-positioning, condo and office conversion, mixed-use and land development. In addition to financial analysis, Kevin’s responsibilities included market feasibility and stress-test risk analysis.
In 2005 Kevin accepted a position in Land Acquisition / Market Analysis for Murray Franklyn as a direct report to the ownership group, which included: identifying market trends through direct research; tracking regional and national employment, demographics, regulatory changes; reporting changes in the production pipeline, inventory and sales; feasibility analysis and financial modeling of proposed projects and transactions. Simultaneously, he began sourcing raw land, single-family and multi-family projects and was a primary driver in the acquisition of 108 raw single family lots in 3 projects.
In the last year at Murray Franklyn, Kevin came full circle from Land Acquisition to “Land Dissolution” as he took on Management of the Marketing Department. In this position, he oversaw the execution of marketing activities in 13 single-family neighborhoods, managed a $2.5 mil budget, participated in the product development cycle and helped to launch the final division of Snoqualmie Ridge.
Martin A. Stever, Presiden, Pacific West Land
Martin had previously worked in publishing and telecommunications in both the U.S. and Europe before taking up real estate investing full time. He originally came to the Seattle area to join Microsoft, after completing his MBA in Finance and Strategy at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Martin is an aviation historian, published game designer, angel investor, and a tireless football fan. He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife, Dianne, and their daughter.
Richard Gollis, Principal, The Concord Group
Richard M. Gollis is a co-Founder and Principal of The Concord Group (TCG) based in the firm’s Newport Beach office. TCG is a national advisory firm focusing on market and financial, analysis, transaction due diligence and asset valuation.
TCG completes hundreds of assignments annually through offices in Newport Beach, San Francisco and Boston. Clients include private equity firms, institutional and entrepreneurial capital, investment and commercial banks, public agencies, and developer/builders.
Recent assignments on behalf of private capital/ opportunity funds have included repositioning strategies for distressed assets and new acquisitions for “next-cycle” development (including year-end NOL transactions). TCG is relied upon to assist developer and financial clients to maximize investment value while minimizing market risk. The firm covers all property types (commercial, residential and land), in all metro areas and works under tight due diligence deadlines.
Todd Gooding, President, Scanlan Kemper Bard (SKB)
Formed in 1993, SKB is a fully integrated real estate private equity firm based in Portland, Oregon. Investment types include office, retail and industrial. SKB also periodically provides equity to select developers of ground-up development projects located in the Western United States.
Before joining SKB in 1996, Mr. Gooding served as Vice President of Acquisitions for G.E. Capital Investment Advisors and Senior Real Estate Analyst with CB Commercial, Inc. (CB Richard Ellis), both in San Francisco. In these capacities, he underwrote over $1 billion of commercial real estate investments for clients such as General Motors retirement funds, CalPERS and the AT&T Master Pension Trust. He started his career as a licensed commercial real estate appraiser in California. He has subsequently personally overseen the acquisition of over $2 billion, and the disposition of over $900 million, of commercial real estate with SKB. Mr. Gooding received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Oregon.
